Static Water Level Reporting Reminder

Many Oregon groundwater permit holders are required to measure and report static water levels (SWL) as a condition of their water right. These measurements help monitor groundwater conditions statewide and are required for the legal use of water.

Failure to report may result in enforcement actions, including fines or restrictions on water use. Permit requirements vary, so water users should review their water right and ensure measurements are taken by a qualified professional.
