District Wide Copper Treatment 6/20/23

DISTRICT WIDE COPPER TREATMENT 
NORTH UNIT IRRIGATION DISTRICT WILL BE CONDUCTING A DISTRICT WIDE CHEMICAL TREATMENT USING COPPER SULFATE CRYSTALS ON TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2023 BEGINNING @ 6:00 AM. THE TURNOVER RATE, THE TIME IT TAKES TO MOVE THROUGH THE DISTRICT DELIVERY SYSTEM, IS 48 HOURS. THIS TREATMENT IS A SINGLE DAY TREATMENT FOR ALL PATRONS.

Water users that do not want the chemical to enter through their headgate should turn off during the follow time-period:

If your ditchrider is:
Ride 34 – Wayne Jakobsen
Ride 37 – Craig Wiseman
Ride 41 – Seth Stites
Ride 43 – Cole Simmons
Water users above Haystack Reservoir should order their water off Tuesday June 20th, and order water back on, Thursday June 22nd.

If your ditchrider is:
Ride 51 – David Ludwig
Ride 57 – Tom Walton
Ride 53 & 58 – Cesar Saldana
Ride 58-11 – Jesse Young
Ride 63 – Marc Chapman
Ride 64 – Kody Edmondson
Water users below Haystack Reservoir should place their water orders Monday, June 19th, for a Tuesday shutoff, and can order again by Wednesday June 23nd, for Thursday turn on.

This treatment is harmful to fish and animals. The turnaround time in which you may safely use the irrigation water is 48 hours.
