On March 20, 2024, North Unit Irrigation District and Central Oregon Irrigation District held a Joint Town Hall at Ridgeview High School in Redmond.
Presenters at the Town Hall included Jeremy Giffin, Watermaster for Central Oregon, who provided an update on the water season outlook. Irrigation District Managers Josh Bailey (NUID) and Craig Horrell (COID) discussed the challenges, opportunities, and collaborative efforts aimed at establishing a reliable water supply. David Filippi, who provides legal counsel, discussed the Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) and the importance of working with state and federal agencies to secure water availability for irrigators.
